Penrith girls honoured again

Penrith is proud to announce that two of our wonderful female athletes have been honoured at the WNBL Sydney Flames presentation evening this week.

Tahlia Tupaea was awarded the “Coaches Award” by the WNBL Sydney Uni Flames after a fantastic 2015/2016 season as the starting point guard.  Tahlia has been able record strong games week in week out against current and former Opals, WNBA and WNBL stars. We look forward to following her bright future as a professional athlete.

Natalia Beaumont from our U18G and Youth Women team was awarded the Sydney Uni Flames “Academy Player of the Year”. This program provides coaching and development for a selected group of U18 players from all over NSW under the guidance of former Flames coach, Karen Dalton. Penrith has seen several players selected and graduate from this program and are sure to have many more, based on the current strength of our junior girls.

Congratulations to them both from all supporters at Penrith Basketball
