It is exciting to announce that four of our U16 Panthers have been selected in the NSW Metro sides to compete at the Australian U16 Championships in Geelong this July.
Josh Green, Josh Kalwy and Kevin Achampong form a strong contingent for the U16Men and Bri Letta will make her State debut for the U16Women with her Panthers team mate Binta Salawu being named as a reserve.
The three boys have been a part of a very strong Penrith group over the past two years previously representing Penrith at the Australian U14 Club championships. They will play a very important role for Coach Curtis Sardi with all three having the ability to fill several roles within the team with their offensive flair and great athleticism.
Bri Letta has returned from a disappointing 2013 due to injury and underwent ankle surgery late last year. Her hard work and dedication has paid off with this selection. Bri is a strong athletic player who can also fill roles in both the guard and small forward positions. She is quick and strong and offers both great dribble penetration and perimeter options for the team
Bottom age point guard Binta Salawu has earned her spot as a reserve with dynamic performances every week in the Metro League and will be a strong contender for the team in 2015.
All team mates, coaches and friends at Penrith wish all of these players the very best of luck in Geelong.
